It’s that time of year everybody. You know, that time where we all reminisce about the past 12 months. So here goes! This year I:
- Started volunteering at the Animal Rescue League once every week.
- Read 28 books.
- Ran my first (and second) 5K. Like a boss.
- Traveled to the UK with my mom for 10 days. So much fun :)
- Graduated with a 4.0.
- Visited Chicago for the first time with Mack.
- Traveled to North Carolina and spent a week with my extended family and one of my best friends.
- Moved to Shadyside from Oakland and never looked back.
- Adopted Yogi!
- Learned what it’s like to live with absolutely no disposable income. Similarly, I learned that it’s okay to lean on the people you love when you need their help.
- Traveled to Manhattan, Kansas to walk at graduation.
- Went to the movies exactly once.
- Received flowers exactly once.
- Get exactly one bad sunburn.
- Bought exactly two pairs of shoes: one for running, and one pair of fantastic nude wedges.
- Went to one concert: The Black Keys.
- Started drinking coffee daily to help ward off migraines.
- Learned that the generic brand of 95% of food/toiletries is just as good as the branded kind. And became fiercely loyal to Aldi.
- Had SERIOUS costly car trouble that almost stranded us in Ohio.
- Saw Dave Chappelle live.
- Cooked our first thanksgiving dinner, 20 lb turkey and all.
- Discovered the delicious calorie bomb that is Prantl’s.
- My attitude toward 2014:
